WOW! How can I ever possibly thank you enough for the fishing trip of a lifetime! Every one of our boats caught multiple 7,8, and 9 pounders, with 25-50 fish a day!!! The El Salto lodge, undoubtedly, has the best hospitality on El Salto - everything is perfect, and Billy - you made sure, at every opportunity, that everyone got that "personal touch". The food is 4-star quality, and the wait staff made me feel like a special guest. There is no doubt in my mind that this is the best, first-class experience, on Lake El Salto. We look forward to seeing you again in '17! Thanks again for making this such a wonderful week for all of us!!! Sincerely, John R. Lockard LTC, Infantry, Retired
January 2015

Four of us , Jim Brower, texacon@cableone.net, and three friends departed Dallas DFW, airport on Thursday, January 15, 2015 morning in route to Mazatlan, Mexico. Arriving at 12:30, we were met by our host guide, Billy Chapman Sr. and transported in a New ford van to lake Picachos, about an hour and one half from the airport. This plus or minus 20,000 acre lake is a five years old irrigation lake West of Mazatlan and was stocked with Florida strain bass. When we arrived in camp, lunch and guides were ready for a half day of fishing. I wanted to get the feel of the lake so we rode around to see the different types of Structures, after 25 years of fishing the lakes of Mexico, I knew what I was looking for. My friend and I caught 130 bass that afternoon. Returning to the Lodge at dark for dinner and then off to our rooms for a hot shower and bed. The next day started at 5:00 to coffee and a big breakfast , then to the lake at daylight. The top water action was fast for the first hour and then we settled in for some worm Fishing to the tune of 436 bass that day. Each day repeated itself and as we closed out three and one half days of fishing wew had a total, for the two of us, 1240 bass. The four of us had a total of 1959 bass , of which the largest was a little over 5 pounds with a lot of three and four pound bass. The last night was a big rib eye stake with all the trimmings and up at 8:00 the next morning To pancakes and eggs before our trip back to Mazatlan to catch a 12:20 flight back to Dallas. The facilities are new, air conditioned rooms, showers and the boats are good. I have fished every lake on the west side of Mexico over the past 26 years and Never experienced anything like the numbers of bass posted. This lake is a Bassmasters dream. This is just to let you know what a fabulous trip our group had fishing at your lodge at Lake El Salto. It was absolutely first class from the beginning to the end. Customs at the airport and the trip to the lodge were uneventful and fun. The fishing and guides were fantastic and the food at every meal was outstanding. We couldn’t have been treated better and are already looking forward to our next trip to your lodge. Please feel free to use me as a reference and anyone that desires more information may contact me. That contact information is below. Thank you for a great time and I look forward to seeing yoy again soon.

It was really good to see you again my friend! Can you believe that our first trip together was 1999? Well just like every year in the past, this year was fantastic as well. It is really nice not having a worry in the world knowing that you will be there to pick us up from the airport and delivery us to your little piece of fishing paradise at Lake El Salto. As usual Jesus and the staff were great, the meals outstanding and the guides were lots of fun. Although we caught tons of fish and several nice ones over 10lbs it is most important to have a great time and your staff made sure that we did just that. I will get with you to book our trip for next year in the next few months and I am sure that our group will be larger than before.
Thanks again for the hospitality. Spicewood, Texas, May 16, 2014
